Terms of use

Last updated ·

These terms are the agreement between you — the grown-up who installs YaqeenKids — and us. By using the app or this website you accept them.

Who the app is for

YaqeenKids is designed for children aged 4 to 10, to be set up and supervised by a parent or guardian. Purchases and settings sit behind a grown-up gate and are yours to make.

What you may do

You may install the app on devices your family owns or controls and use it for your family's own, non-commercial enjoyment.

The stories, recordings, paintings, games and the YaqeenKids name and logo belong to us or to those who licensed them to us. Please do not copy, republish, sell or pull them out of the app.

To protect them, the app turns off screenshots and screen recording on Android. On iPhone and iPad it reminds you they are protected when a screenshot is taken.

The free plan and the family plan

The app is free to download and the free plan needs no payment. The family plan is an auto-renewing subscription sold through the App Store or Google Play. Its price, any free trial and the renewal date are shown there before you confirm.

A subscription renews until you cancel it in your App Store or Google Play account. Cancelling stops the next renewal; the plan stays open until the end of the period already paid for. Refunds are decided by the store you bought from, under its own rules.

In Egypt, a yearly subscription to the family plan can also be paid for by InstaPay, arranged with us by email, for families who cannot pay through the stores. A plan paid this way is opened on your email address for one year and does not renew by itself. For a question about an InstaPay payment, write to support@yaqeenkids.com.

The content

We take care to tell these stories faithfully and to keep the app working well. It is a learning companion for young children, not a source of religious rulings, and it is offered as it is: we cannot promise it will be free of mistakes or always available. If you find an error, please tell us — we will want to fix it.

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect losses that come from using the app. Nothing here takes away rights the law gives you as a consumer.

Changes

We add stories and improve the app over time, and may update these terms as it grows. The date at the top of this page shows when they last changed. Carrying on using the app after a change means you accept the new terms.
